Julia Easterling FROI, RBA
Julia Easterling is a member of the Royal Institute of Oil Painters and The Royal Society of British Artists.
She has exhibited with them and at The Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, also with The New English Art Club, The Royal West of England Academy and The Royal Portrait Society among others.
She was elected Vice-President of the ROI in 1990 and a Fellow in 1997.

- The Laind Art Award, 1st Prize 1985, 3rd in 1979 and 2nd in 1990.
- Four-times finalist in the Hunting Group Award
- The Daler Rowney Painting Award
- The Cornelisson Prize
- The John Adams Gallery Award
- The Llewellyn Alexander Gallery Award, 1995
- The Alan Gourney Memorial Prize for an outstanding work in 1994
- The Dartington Crystal Award 1997

She says, "all my landscapes are painted 'in situ' at varying times of year and weather. I do have to finish some in my studio, but regret having to, as in my opinion they often lack spontaneity. Gardens, especially my own, feature in a lot of my work, as do floral still lifes, both of which I love; but probably, most enjoyable of all, and something I do very little of these days, is portrait painting. When I have the time and opportunity it is such a pleasure and challenge (mostly when I do not have to fulfil a client's expectations.)"
